Chest X-Ray is a basic screen for lungs,
usually part of all wellness health checks. It is to evaluate the lungs, heart,
blood vessels, lymph nodes and the chest wall for diagnosing any abnormalities
or early changes associated with the disease process in any of them.
Procedure : A chest x ray is a painless,
noninvasive test that creates pictures of the structures inside your chest,
such as your heart, lungs, and blood vessels. "Noninvasive" means
that no surgery is done and no instruments are inserted into your body. One has
to stand in front of the x-ray machine, and then hold the breath when the x-ray
is taken. Chest x-rays are NOT recommended in pregnancy.
Symptoms : A persistent cough/ Chest injury/ Chest
pain/ Coughing up blood/ Difficulty breathing/ fever. It may also be done if
you have signs of lung cancer, or other chest or lung disease,
especially useful in an Indian context for the diagnosis of Tuberculosis
infection in view of the magnitude of the disease in the country.
If you have any decease in your chest then you can go to
